Questions people ask first

Who is behind this?

Darin R. Molnar, PhD — author of Reporting to Incompetence. He holds BA and MA degrees in anthropology and a doctorate in organizational management with a specialization in leadership, and has spent more than four decades as a business owner, institutional leader, college professor, and hands-on producer.

Do I need the book first?

No. The courses stand on their own and go considerably further than the book does, particularly on scripts, templates, and practice. If you want the argument before the application, the book is the cheapest way to get it.

Are these live or self-paced?

The six courses are self-paced and available immediately after purchase. The Four-Week Clinic is live and capped at twelve seats.

Is this about getting revenge on my boss?

No. The book is not a manual for mocking your boss and neither is the curriculum. The aim is to help you do good work, keep your credibility, protect your health, and choose your next move deliberately. If your manager improves along the way, that is a bonus rather than the goal.

Will my employer see that I enrolled?

Not from us. We never publish enrollment, never sell or share your information, and never contact your employer. Use a personal email address if you would rather keep the receipt out of a company inbox.

Who charges my card?

Shoreline Consulting LLC, a Washington limited liability company. Payments are processed by Stripe; card details never touch this site. Your statement will read Shoreline Consulting.

What if the course is not what I expected?

Thirty days, no argument. Email us and the purchase is refunded in full, including bundles. Live clinic seats are refundable up to seven days before the first session, or in full at any time if we cannot seat you in a cohort that works.

Can my employer pay for this?

Yes, and many do. Ask for an invoice at hello@reportingtoincompetence.com and one will be issued from Shoreline Consulting LLC with the detail most expense systems require. Team pricing is available from five seats.
